News :: 04.13.07 :: GbA arrived today!

The Guilt By Association master was finally delivered to our offices this morning. We were a little hesitant to play it being Friday the 13th and all. Who knows maybe Superchunk’s punked up “Say My Name” would be mysteriously changed to a James Blunt version of “We Built This City”….actually I want to hear that. But alas it was unscathed and sounds great. Here is the tracklist:
1. Petra Haden / “Don’t Stop Believing” (Journey)
2. Devendra Banhart / “Don’t Look Back In Anger” (Oasis)
3. Mark Mulcahy / “From This Moment On” (Shania Twain)
4. Luna / “Straight Up” (Paula Abdul)
5. The Concretes / “Back For Good” (Take That)
6. Jim O’Rourke / “Viva Forever” (Spice Girls)
7. Goat / “Sugar We’re Going Down” (Fall Out Boy)
8. Will Oldham / “Can’t Take That Away” (Mariah Carey)
9. Woody Jackson Orchestra featuring Money Mark / “Love’s Theme” (Love Unlimited Orchestra)
10. Porter Block / “Breaking Free” (High School Musical)
11. Mooney Suzuki / “Just Like Jesse James” (Cher)
12. Geoff Farina / “Two Tickets To Paradise” (Eddie Money)
13. Casey Shea / “Chop Suey” (System of a Down)
14. Superchunk / “Say My Name” (Destiny’s Child)
15. Mike Watt / “Burning For You” (Blue Oyster Cult)
Have dreams of becoming the next Michel Gondry or Spike Jonze? Well submit to our GbA Video Contest where you’ll have the chance to create a music video for either Petra Haden, Will Oldham or Devendra Banhart. More details here.
For those of you on MySpace, and who isn’t, we’ve created a MySpace page for Guilt By Association. Check it out and request to be our friend.
In other news Goat’s song “Angel” can be heard on the Fox show “Standoff” and next week he heads to Mobile, AL to perform at Zewtopia. Other bands on the bill include Drive-By Truckers, Little Feat and Gov’t Mule.

SXSW was wonderful! We saw a some acts that are on our upcoming Guilt By Association compilation cd and a few very interesting young new acts! More news on GbA soon! Tracklist is sequenced and the cover art is nearly done.
In the mean time Goat just came back from a few great tours that included opening slots for the wonderful Madeleine Peyroux, a ton of radio appearances and interviews, and some great interaction with new fans in Montana, Colorado, Texas, Vermont, and New Mexico.
We’re gearing up for Goat’s second single Find Somebody with an add date of April 2nd/3rd and just read the following wonderful quote about our last Goat single:
Andrew – Goat – Rosen’s sexy and soulful rock music is giving indie artists and small labels everywhere new hope that widespread radio airplay is possible for the “little guys”. With “Two Sides To Love” making it all the way to #21 on “Radio & Records” all-important Triple A Indicator airplay chart, Goat’s Twisted Heart CD needs to be taken seriously by the mainstream music establishment. — Jim Nelson, A Taste Of Triple A
Porter Block is doing a string of Borders instore appearances and will be coming to a town near you soon. Keep your eyes peeled on MySpace Page for details.
