Last week Luke Wesley celebrated the release of his debut album Because We Never Talk About It at the new Stage 2 of Rockwood Music Hall to a packed house. Here’s a video of Luke with special guest Mike Grubbs from the band Wakey! Wakey! covering The Pixies’ Here Comes Your Man.
We just read a glowing review from Absolute Punk for Luke Wesley’s debut album “Because We Never Talk About It.” Here’s some of what they had to say about it “Artists like Luke Wesley come along once in a lifetime. Compelling, intimate portraits of honesty just aren’t that common, and those that are, aren’t nearly as mesmerizing as this. Never once does the album stumble, never once does it suffocate under the weight of its ambitions and never once does the disc leave one wanting more.” Wow! Check out the full review here.
Today Luke Wesley’s debut album “Because We Never Talk About It” is unleashed onto the unsuspecting masses. It’s a great piano driven rock/pop album recorded last year in Brooklyn, produced by Casey Shea and Peter Block with Mark Christensen (50 Cent, Langhorne Slim, Raekwon) handling the mastering. Please listen for yourself here.
And for those of you in NYC the release party is set for Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 on July 6th. Show starts at 7:30pm with Misty Boyce on first, followed by Luke and then Casey Shea closing out the night. I mean how can you beat that! Plus it’s a free show so there’s no excuses at all, hope to see you there!
Available now on iTunes and digitally everywhere music is sold. You can also purchase the record digitally and physically right from our very own store here.
